At home with nature

Updated: May 3, 2022

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of relaxing in your garden, knowing that your little slice of heaven is helping nature and wildlife too.

… and it doesn’t need to be difficult. There are lots of plants to choose from that are easy to grow. The plume thistle shown in the picture (Cirsium rivulare to give its’ botanical name) comes back year after year and the bees just love it! It can also handle a bit of shade which makes it a very versatile plant.

For a dry sunny spot, Lavender has the added bonus of smelling great... or add some trailing bellflower (Campanula poscharskyana ‘Stella’) which flowers merrily all summer long, right up to the first frosts.
