Chelsea Flower Show

It was a privilege to be part of the team creating Juliet Sargeant's Modern Slavery Garden, which was awarded a RHS Gold Medal at Chelsea Flower Show.

Then to return again to Chelsea to support the creation of the New Blue Peter Garden.

Show gardens have the potential to convey powerful messages.

As well as share the delights of fantastic design and planting combinations. The Blue Peter Garden does a wonderful job of sharing the message of how soil supports life on Earth and the importance of looking after it. This iconic garden, with its striking orange structure and wildflower green roof has now taken up permanent residence at RHS Bridgewater.

The Modern Slavery Garden, featuring a sumptuous display of flowers, including foxgloves, Geums, Iris and Verbascum, also speaks a potent message. The doorways draw our attention to the reality of modern slavery, which remains hidden behind closed doors.

Working at Chelsea is not for the faint hearted. It tests your resolve and it is a truly intense experience. It is an adventure that equips us with the attitude and ability to create sublime gardens, and it provides a wealth of inspiration to last a lifetime.
