My 1st year as a Director for Gardening Scotland and I have the priviledge of creating the anniversary garden. How fantastic! Featuring an Italian glass cocktail bar and a superb slate sculpture by the renowned Scottish sculptor James Parker we certainly celebrated this 'Garden Party' in style. Thanks for joining us George, your cake cutting skills were impeccable.
George and myself pictured here with Gardening Scotland Chairman Jimmy Gilchrist who does a smashing job of pulling everything together for the show. He's normally found behind the scenes but for this occasion we wanted to give him some limelight and a big thank you for all his hard work.
Gardening Scotland was set up as a charity in 1999 and all of the Directors, myself included, give their time freely to this wonderful event. A heartfelt thanks to all Directors and other volunteers, past, present and future!
